The Disinformation site has been the web's most popular counterculture and alternative news destination since its inception in 1996. The site is visited by over 500,000 unique users per month, was recently bestowed an Edgy Award by Robert DeNiro's Converge@Tribeca (2000) for "Best New Business Attitude," and has received four "Webby" nominations.

The site relaunched in Fall 2000 and requires registration to participate in the Disinformation community, with one registration giving the user a free disinfo.net web-based email account and the ability to post messages to forums and chat in the site's state of the art chat rooms. The number of registered users is approximately 37,000 and permits our sales team to offer advertisers highly targeted demographic groups.


The Disinformation Newsletter
Published Daily Monday through Friday, Disinformation's e-newsletter includes news items, upcoming events and selected web links and media picks.

Television | Disinfo Nation
In 2000, Channel 4 (UK) bought 6 episodes of Disinformation's television show, Disinfo Nation. Following the well received 1st season, Channel 4 licensed 10 more episodes of Disinfo Nation, which aired in the first quarter of 2001. All rights to both seasons of the series (a total of 16 half hour segments) are owned by The Disinformation Company, subject to a limited license for the UK granted to Channel 4.

Publishing | You Are Being Lied To: The Disinformation Guide to Media Distortion, Historical Whitewashes & Cultural Myths
The Disinformation Books imprint published its first title "You Are Being Lied To" in April 2001. Edited by alternative press luminary Russ Kick (also Disinformation's book review columnist and contributing editor), the book weighs in at 400 pages, measures 9"x12" and contains 68 essays by 60 authors. Distribution in the US and Canada is in partnership with Consortium Book Sellers & Distribution and it is available for publication in all other territories.
